http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kh1S4veP1w Photographers, filmmakers, fashion insiders and students from SVA's Graduate Photography Department recently gathered to celebrate the 2nd New York Fashion Film Festival and the increasing collusion between the two art forms. The opening piece (and a personal favorite) was a short film by Matthew Donaldson called Sooyeon Lee: Grand Slam. Donaldson highlights the Korean table tennis champion's elegance and technique as only slow-motion can. Katie Shillingford styled looks by Versace, Jil Sander, Christopher Kane and Christian Louboutin to accentuate Lee's aggressive returns, fluid follow-thru and even a moment of kittenish contemplation.
